About Us:
Chongqing College of Humanities, Science and Technology originated from Xingzhi Yucai College of Southwest Normal University founded in 2000. After several renames, it was approved by the Ministry of Education to be established as a general undergraduate college under the charge of Chongqing Municipal Education Commission in 2013. The university is a national applied technology university strategy pilot research university, and a pilot unit for postgraduate education and cultivation of master's degree in Chongqing.
The school is located in Caojie Street, Hechuan District, Chongqing, where the great people's educator Tao Xingzhi ran a school during the Anti Japanese War. It covers an area of 1.05 million square meters, with a total building area of more than 500000 square meters. It recruits students from 22 provinces (cities and autonomous regions) across the country. There are nearly 23000 full-time students at school.
Over the past 22 years, the university has always regarded being a high-level private undergraduate university with social responsibility as the first goal of running the university, earnestly practiced Tao Xingzhi's educational thought, and strived to build a national first-class applied private university with outstanding discipline and specialty advantages, distinctive school running characteristics, high talent training level, and strong technology research and development ability.
The university has 14 secondary colleges, 46 undergraduate majors and one junior college major, covering 9 university disciplines, including literature, law, management, economics, art, education, science, engineering and agriculture. Since 2018, we have carried out the project establishment of master's degree awarding units, focusing on the construction of professional degree programs such as law, electronic information, art and education masters.
